Queen Rania presented Global Citizen Award to Justin Trudeau

On September 20, 2017, Queen Rania of Jordan presented the Atlantic Council Global Citizen Award to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in an award ceremony in New York City, citing his ability to transform “compassion into action” on the global refugee crisis. Trudeau was chosen to receive this award due to his "respect for universal freedom, diversity, and prosperity, and his promotion of open trade and open borders," according to a statement from the Atlantic Council.

  1. Hmm. My prime minister.
It seems Rania is everywhere these days ( I'm curious about what Jordan has to do with an "Atlantic" council).

  2. The American council is by no means an objective body or neutral entity. It´s a highly political US-based think tank lobbying American (globalist) interest. This award is the globalist elite celebrating its most promising members best furthering its agenda.
I´m more and more disturbed to observe the mechanisms at work behind the scenes connecting the most influential people on the planet.

    1. Thank you for saying this so clearly. It frightens me to see very visible celebrities and royals accepting awards and being spokespeople for agendas that I'm not sure they even thoroughly understand.

    2. And some become "influential" because they look attractive and spout platitudes. Now I'm getting depressed - we have to stick to fashion, which is why a lot of us escape to blogs like this.

    3. Well said, and you are correct.

  3. Seems Mr. Trudeau is turning into some kind of popstar. On the one hand of course it is good when people like politicians, on the other hand - is this not getting a bit too much?

    1. Not President. He is our Prime Minister. We are not a republic.

  5. Getting back to fashion, this is another super-elegant dress. I love the collar and stripe. She has really found some interesting outfits for this trip! I think the UN has just re-convened and things are getting rolling for the season, and that is probably why there are so many royals in the neighborhood. The police must be going crazy keeping up with them all.

    1. Check out the other woman in photo #5. The contrast in the bare look and the covered-up look is striking. After a certain age, I think 'covered-up' is much more graceful.

    2. I absolutely agree but I also think we shouldn't be ashamed of our over 65 arms and embarrassed to show them. My sleeves are always at least 3/4 length!
