  1. This doesn't work for me - she looks like a flight attendant. She would have looked less like one if she didn't have the fussy bow. But I still wouldn't like it - the material is horrible. JMO, of course.

  2. This dress looks so heavy for Victoria. She wants to show her wonderful relation with mother, but please not this strip.

  3. Souvent c'est bien de recycler mais là, c'est non! Trop vieux et pas avantageux!

  4. This should have stayed in the closet. The extremely high neckline and fussy bow (well said, Franny) with that severe hairstyle do not flatter Victoria's features at all.

  5. I'm wondering whether she chose vertical stripes for another reason....hmm...

    1. Yes, my thought, too, when I saw photo #2. It really does not flatter her at all with her neck wound with that sash which her mother wore around a hat. It didn't look any better on her mother. That color is garish and maybe should be on drapes, not clothing. Victoria's greatest asset is her incredible smile with her sparkling eyes. She glows with good spirit!

    2. She does glow. I think that mitigates the rather odd look of this dress. Her warm affect is one of her great qualities. Also, perhaps an extra glow here of...je n'en sais quois...

  6. Cette robe aurait dû rester en Union Soviétique ! ...

  7. I know there is a degree of nostalgia wearing clothes your mother wore, but that was back in the 80's. It is very dated now and does not look good. She did the same thing back on her trip to Japan.

  8. The bow is too much, that's true. But nevertheless I like the dress. The colours are beautiful and I like the combination with red shoes and handbag. And the earrings are wonderful! She Looks good!

  9. That bow looks like it's strangling her..

  10. Wooow this is bad. The worst outfit ever. But the earrings are beautiful.

  11. I really don't mind it. It is vintage and well tailored. Shoulder pads would have surpassed the point of no return.

  12. Oh dear! I think this is a horrible outfit on Victoria. I generally like what she chooses to wear but this is doing her no favours. In fact, to my eye anyway, it makes her look thick through the mid section.

  13. As soon as I saw the picture of the Princess I thought this dress looked old. I figured it was from her mother. I don't care at all for it but the Princess is radiant.

  14. This is a most unflattering dress that should permanently disappear from Victoria's closet after this wearing.

..... I need bleach for my eyes

  16. I am confused as to when -which decade / era etc- was this dress ever a good idea. It looks like an unfortunate design to begin with, pretty poorly cut, ill-fitting and a particularly uninspired print, which only emphasizes the equally uninspired tailoring (or lack thereof). I will have to say that it may very well be THE poorest choice of any royal outfit I can think of. Wasn't expecting it from Victoria in particular, she seems so astute in looking after her role and so natural at it, and there was rarely a faux-pas in any aspect - image included. But of course, who is quite that perfect? I am willing to bet that she won't repeat this any time soon. She remains one of my favourite young royals, if one who could use a new stylist...

  17. This is miss, better luck next time.

  18. Sorry but this style makes her look like some 60-year-old spinster who has to buy her clothes from DriftShop...
The dress is illfitting, makes her waist look thick (as if she's expecting...),that bow seem to strangle her, add that tighly combed back and slicked down hairstyle..naja, total miss, imho. I like this dress much better on Queen Silvia!

  19. This dress does nothing for Victoria, or her mother when she wore it. I don't like the style, the fit or the colors. Maybe she should have worn her mother's hat to cover her boring hairdo, but then again, better not! BTW enough of wearing your mother's clothes, get your own!

  24. My first thought was "That is something resurrected from the Queen's wardrobe" and sure enough it is and that is where it should have been left.

I do like the red shoes and clutch.
