Monaco Princely family attend the Surrealist Dinner Party

Prince Albert of Monaco, Princess Caroline of Hanover, Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo attended the Surrealist Dinner Party at Monte-Carlo Casino on April 28 in Monaco. The dress worn by Beatrice Borromeo is an old dress of her mother-in-law Princess Caroline. That dress was on Princess Caroline at Red Cross Gala in 2007

  1. Well that 'old dress' should have been kept in the closet. It was ghastly then and it is horrific now.

    Meh.

Only Charlene has any taste in this group. Beatrice usually looks great. Not today.

    1. But Charlene is not attending? - Well, it's a "Surrealist Dinner Party", whatever is going on then...
Caroline has clearly fun playing with accessoirs. It's a pity, that smoking has ruined her beautiful face. Her silver dress looked 2007 better on her than on Beatrice tonight. (my opinion)

    2. Rainha wondering if Charlene is still in South Africa? My comment was in general she is the best dressed :)

Agree w the smoking. It does age a person. Caroline was a beauty. She still retains that beauty if one looks closely. Life has been a wild ride for her.

    3. I must admit that I like the dress. But most of all I like Caroline's hairstyle back in 2007.

    4. I don't think she has ruined her face, I still find her beautiful. She made her choices to smoke and enjoy the sun. Given those choices I think she could have done far worse damage to her skin.

It's just my personal viewpoint but I find it refreshing that there are some Princesses out there who refrain from loads of "interventions" and just accept how they are.

Nothing against plastic surgery and non-invasive procedures in themselves but quite often people don't know when to stop (and don't see to have anyone around who is brave enough to tell them)

    5. Romana I do like Caroline's hair in 2007!

Franny I so agree with you on aging naturally. Nothing wrong w a few tweaks but some go overboard. Caroline could very easily tweak it all and seems to be comfy in her own skin. I admire that.

    6. You are right Franny. It's just a pity. But that's live. And (nethertheless) her face tells us many stories (and about tragedies). And I like it too.-
Well, good question: Where is Charlene???

    10. I was surprised that she is only 60. I agree with aging naturally but most women look less aged than this.

  2. Caroline looks good - I like the soft updo and the jewellery. I love the draping and flow of the dress. I like how she pays homage to the event theme with the champagne cork bracelet and antique book clutch. She was also wearing those wacky bare feet shoes she has - I don't like them but again I can see how they fit in with the theme.

I know Caroline's style can divide opinion but I admire the fact that she has fun with fashion.

Earlier on she attended another event in a rather original Prada outfit which I also liked.

Beatrice looks good - I love this dress sharing thing that Caroline has got going on.

  3. Is that Pierre with the crazy hat next to Caroline in the first photo? He looks old enough there to be Caroline's father

    1. No. You can see Pierre on the pic below with his wife.

    2. No, it's not. Maybe an organiser but definitely not Pierre.

    3. That's not Pierre. He looks vaguely familiar, but I don't know who he is.

    4. I know Pierre is in the pic below, but at first glance it might have been Pierre costumed or something. They have the same bow tie, but not the same jacket, the same facial hair.

  7. Elle est bien brave, Beatrice, de se coltiner les dîners parce que Charlène préfère rester "à la maison"...

  8. Caroline wore the dress better in 2007. Beatrice's overcurled hair just doesn't work with that dress.
Caroline's dress is a bit frumpy and shapeless. She has looked much better.

  9. Beatrice. Looks good with dress.but. Overcurled hait does suit hert
