  1. Don't like Duchess's hat... it makes her look older. Countess Sophie is the best looking here.

  2. Dont like Sophie's pattern dress but everyone looks lovely.

  3. Both Catherine and Sophie look elegant and classy! Only I don't understand why Sophie wears a black hat and brown boots? Or is it due to the light on the photos?

    1. At the official ceremony Sophie was wearing black heels:

    2. The brown boots are from an earlier photo

    3. Coralie, as far as I can see Sophie wears black shoes.

    4. That was old Christmas picture. I think it was just light making them look brown. Black is sometimes a bit kinky in photos.

    5. The photo w the boots is at church in Sandringham and not this event Coralie. I do think it is the light however.

She is in heels at this event.

    6. Oh yes, I see the photo with the boots is from another event!

  6. They look all nice. I like all hats and this time I like especially that Catherine has her own kind hat. But what I like most is how relaxed and happy they all look when The Queen is coming to her place.

  7. I love the hat! Love the entire look! That Kors coat is wonderful! Have always liked it and this is my favorite outing.

Sophie looks nice too. I like how she matches some of the outfits. Not so sure about those ?? On top of her hat. The Queen is lovely as always in her blue!

  8. In the second photo, the Queen looks absolutely lovely--gorgeous color on her. Catherine's tanzanite earrings are beautiful.

    1. I agree about that luminous royal blue being a great color on the queen. I wonder why it looks so good on her but just does not suit Sweden's queen. Could it be that it does better with white-grey hair?

    2. Skin undertones make a difference. This is hard to see at first glance but some people have more orange or yellow undertones to their skin and some have more bluish undertones. That is why some people in the same family just do not look good in the same colors. It's very subtle and I'm no expert but I have seen this happen with my friends and family and read about it.

  10. Kate looks beautiful and elegant and Sophie as well - I just don't like her hat.

  11. I love Catherine's hat! I think it really adds to her outfit. I just wish she would stand up straight. Her posture really needs to be worked on!

    1. Agreed, the Duchess is wearing an appropriate outfit (hat included) for her station. It is the slouch that needs improvement only.

  12. Kate and HM look well dressed and fitting to the occasion. Sophie, as lovely as the outfit is, a little ostentatious for this event.

  13. I find the 7th picture of Prince Harry to be very touching. His solemn air is appropriate.
I guess that Catherine's huge grin and laughter were just a moment in time but I don't see any of the families of dead servicemen or women giggling away. Others near her were also laughing, I know. But couldn't she have set a more respectful tone? It reminds me of Catherine laughing at the Centopath ceremony that one year--for which she was roundly and rightly criticized.

    1. I was going to say the same thing. You can tell who has done very risky or military work. William is also subdued. I don't know who most of the men are, but it is a jolly time for most people there. When your friends have been injured or killed, it is not a jokey thing.

    2. Exactly. When you have lost friends and family, nothing about a dedication like this is amusing. Harry's face says it all.

    3. So what does Tony Blair here? And where are the heroes and/or families? As for fashion, I am not a fan of Sophie's outfit today. Reminds me of a Grandma's...

  14. Kate looks lovely - very elegant - and the queen looks very nice also. I agree that Sophie's dress is a bit too bright for the occasion and the hat is silly.

  15. both Catherine's hat and dress are good but I feel like it should not be worn together.. the playfulness of the hat does not go well with the textured coat that is very rigid..the coat deserves more of her shapeful hat..and the hat needs more of a tea / cocktail length dress perhaps..
