  1. What in the world is she wearing? It looks like bullets on the dress. I've never seen anything so ugly.

    1. That's exactly what I thought as soon as I saw it. The red colour bleeding through the black is also unfortunate.

  2. I love how her high neck looks like a multi-strand choker to her audience. I think I really like this look!

  3. This is pure example of kitsch in dressing. Not testful at all.

  4. I like the dress. I see an abstract pattern, but if I had to decide what it was I´d say candles which is right in line with the festive season in the hosting country.
I don´t like the wrinkly mess of Daniela Schadt, although I´m sure that the wrinkles are intended as part of the design.
The green velvet number is class.

  5. She does travel alot. It is interesting to me that she does so much OUT of Jordan. Why?

    As to the dress? Meh

    1. There are around 2million refugees in camps just inside the Jordanian border and because they are not an oil rich nation Jordan finds it very hard to care for them all. Raina spends a lot of time traveling in wealthier countries raising funds to help them.

  6. Not very impressed by the dress...
Diane, she is said to be a good speaker, in addition to her attractive appearance and of course she is fluent in english (like TRULY fluent, not just that manages well). This is a winning combination for being the perfect representative of her country abroad. Jordan is currently hosting a huge mass of refugees, they really need every help so Rania is kind of touring, I suppose she grabs every opportunity to bring up, I bet even in the "backstage" of these events, this issue.

  7. Agree with Lizzie on what I first saw in the pattern. Very unfortunate choice given what is going on in the Middle East right now. And I think Rania performs a difficult role well overall.

  8. Actually its going to be really nice had it been a usual beading with a usual pattern on the gown, this motives are so busy plus it makes her look like she's having a torn open wound all over her arm and neck. But her eye make up and hair was really sweet I love it.

  9. Jordan walks a fine line in a difficult region. And Rania generally sets a good and progressive example for women in her area. This is just a misstep in clothing choice.
