  1. That is an interesting setting: Alexandra with her eldest and Joachim and Marie's Henrik. I guess some people just manage this mosaic family thing pretty well.

    1. Nikolai, not Felix is Alexandra's eldest.

    2. I think it is wonderful. They are half brothers and these children get the benefit of many happy homes and connections. Kudos to the adults for making it work.

    3. I've always admired Alexandra and Joachim because of the civilized and grown-up way they handled their separation and divorce. No washing of dirty laundry in public unlike certain British royals. And it's wonderful to see how they make their patchwork family work. Chapeau!
I like Alexandra's outfit very much.

    4. My mistake, Lizzie. The point is, Henrik is Marie's son. We often see Alexandra's sons with Joachim and Marie (sans Alexandra) but I think we've never had the opportunity to see photos of Alexandra alone with either of Joachim and Marie's children. I also think it's quite exemplary how civilized J and A managed their divorce. As Romana said, no mud throwing, no shadows of questionable declarations and memoires and so. I have read some not so flattering things re Alexandra and her new husband and their spending and lavish lifestyle but those are the usual tabloid stories. Never a word from either of them talking to the press or airing details of/cashing on royal connections however. That's how one stays classy, not by secretly recorded tv interviews and televised diet regimes like in the UK.

    5. I agree Romana and ZL! Class means showing some dignity and rising above the fray.

The BRF has been very tawdry and messy with their divorces.

    6. True, all true, I can't remember dirt regarding J and A's divorce. If there was, it was private. Little Henrik is gorgeous, and so are the twins. As for the BRF, I remember princess Margaret renouncing the 'love of her life', Peter Townsend, because he was divorced, and eventually, she - Margaret - divorced, and of course, Charles, Andrew, Anne... Only Edward is still married, I like Sophie very much.
