  2. Color is very becomg to her but the length if it is like in fashion picture is far too short to winter time.

    1. Too short, period. It is so ridiculous to see a dress length for a 10-year matched with high heels. There is nothing at all nice about a very short dress fort a woman, whatever the season or her age.

    2. Yes, I agree with you , it is too short for her for any season of the year.I always think longer dresses look much more elegant.

    3. She is not too tall. I hope we see the full look!

  5. Agree that her makeup is well done. Enhances but does not overwhelm her features. The deep violet tones of the dress are good colors for her. Also like that her hair is never the story. She pulls it right out of the way, which increases focus on her pretty face and her expressions as she pays attention to the people around her.

  6. She looks great here! Wish we could see the entire dress. Perhaps she had a bespoke version that is longer Blondiini?

  8. It would be better if there are additional photos from this event. As far as I can see Princess Sofia's hair is not her usual center-parted style. I like it, way, way, better! Her make-up is also nice.

  9. The black tights (as shown on the link above) compliment the dress length. She looks very nice.

  10. That dress has a terrible cut. I don´t even mind that it´s an utterly simple shape without any real features, because that way the colour/pattern and fabric are the focus which is ok. But - it needs to fit. And it doesn´t. The waistline is way too high, and the way the skirt part attaches is so primitive and looking juvenile. And too short overall. Not a great look.

  11. No,no ,no she do not look great at all.I can image that the dress is other showing her legs moore than enough or otherwise it is her breast.....fokus is always around these two. That is wy she always will be a very odd person among other royal ladies.
    Ko style only pinuppa.

    1. Seriously Karen? Letizia, Maxima, Mary etc. they were not all royal born and are doing fine and so is Sofia, who by the way is the prettiest of them all. So they had fun when they were single, I say good for them! is how they do now that counts.

    2. I agree kteach! We are all human and none of us would probably be the perfect princess no matter what we did in our youth. This is not 1900 ...... times have changed. I wish they would stop picking on Sofia. The family has embraced her and she makes Carl Philip happy. That is all that matters.

  12. Apart from the lenght which is way too short (dark tights or not, it's short and would be deemed short would any other royal lady wear it) the dress itself is nice and I don't see it fits badly. Her makeup looks nice though it's not a closeup so who knows. As for the hair, I don't find this style flattering on Victoria and given that most of the readers here agree on this topic I find surprising the same style gets a pass or even cheers from the same readers, just because Sofia wears it. Neither Victoria nor Sofia is a classic beauty and both have some harder facial features which might be the reason why none of the two can pull off the tightly pulled back hair. CP Mary looked lovely with it in her younger years, maybe not so much these days, also Beatrice Borromeo has the head shape and the face to pull it off and maybe Claire from Luxembourg comes to my mind who would look really nice with it. And Madeleine, but Madeleine has a much beautier face with softer lines than either Victoria or Sofia.

    1. On the Instagram link, the dress appears somewhat longer that the designer image.

    2. PB Coleman; she is keeping that paper bag and procyres in front of her so we cannot see exact hem line and she is 10 - 15 cm shorter than model in picture, otherwise the length is just the same as in fashion pic.

    3. ZL, why should Sofia not wear a short dress - she is slim and has beautiful legs. She is a very appealing woman. More attractive than Madeleine.

    4. She shouldn't wear for the same reason Kate or Mary or Letizia or Stephanie or any other royal lady who is older than 18-22 years shouldn't. It's either girlish or wannabe sexy or just plainly not ladylike and elegant. I'm not saying she (they) never should wear skirts or dresses shorter than knee lenght but generally not for official engagements, especially not for evening or formal events. She is no teenager for heaven's sake to parade in skater dresses at a black tie event! I'm not that strict as to say it's completely unacceptable but it should be on more relaxed daytime appearances. She (generally these ladies) are acting on behalf of the monarch who is head of state, they must present themselves with decorum. If she wants to show her sexy legs she has plenty of opportunities in her private life. I did say the same for other younger royals and I uphold my view re Sofia too.
