  1. Somebody please stop the person who is distributing these crocheted-like victorian neck pieces to the royal ladies. Please.
I'm not saying all victorian neck pieces are unflattering for all the the royal ladies but this one on Mary certainly is. As was Kate's Self Portrait dress' top part.

    1. Why it seems unflattering to you? It looks very well

    2. Well, I can't really tell. Maybe it's because it makes her arms look chubby (which they certainly aren't in reality). Or that the whole crocheted material is matronly. You say a piece of clothing is unflattering when it doesn't really brings out the best from the wearer and I think this one definitely does not bring out the best from Mary's lovely and youthful shape.
Besides, that ruched tie waist suede skirt is intriguing enough by itself, this top is a distracting addition. A golden rule of fashion is that you should wear only one statement/peculiar piece at a time. Only very few have the flair and personality to deflect from that rule, Máxima being an example but even she does go overboard sometimes. But Mary is no Máxima, that flamboyance is alien to her, sleek and streamlined pieces with less adornment simply suit her better.

  6. Nice skirt but not so much for that kind of lace shirt, reminds me of the early 80's
