    1. It is not an actual hunt lizzie. It is a course of obstacles and they chase somethimg that has a attached tail.

The family does have exclusive rights to hunting in the forest however. How much of that they do I do not know. Hunting for food is not an issue for me. Hunting for a head on a wall or to basically run a fox to its death is despicable.

    2. I agree with you.
      I am so against it.

    3. Same here - it used to be said that hunting is the sport of kings, or something like that. I'm pretty sure they don't need to hunt for food!!! Yet, I think the Brit 'royals' still hunt game, to what purpose? for sport? Or they like to eat venison.

    4. They do eat the birds and venison. I have no issue with that type of hunt. Growing up my great grandfather always butchered a pig. I would cry but that fed them for a year. They worked the land and nothing came from a store. It was all fresh. They both lived into their late 90's. So fresh is good.

But to just kill for the sport? Is despicable and wrong. I am so glad they banned fox hunting in England. Poor little things.

  8. I don 't like the queen's outfit, ugly pants and I don't care for the orange coat. I like Mary's outfit, everything goes well together.

  9. I was taught to love animals, their children are taught not to.
    How wrong of parents!

  10. There is hunting and there is hunting.........Fox hunting when the animal is chased by dogs and hunters on horses is terrible but in some countries like Denmark and Sweden elk and deer for example need to be kept at a certain number for their own good. As I love animals, could never hunt, I have to see and try to understand the reality for the sake of the wild life.

  11. I must say that I find the queen's outfit and appearance horrendous. Colour and cut of the coat is awful. And the pants?? Are they pulled out from a rag container? It does not fit to the Hunting theme at all. How about a long narrow tweet skirt, Wellington boots and a Burlington jacket. Get inspired by the British county style. And a hat, as the air may have been timid instead of this scruffy hair. I really like Queen Margarethe for her personality but her fashion choices are often a desaster and I wish she would find a more modern haircut for her grey hair. Grey hair can look great but it needs a lot of care.

Apart from that, hunting may be necessary to control the population of wild animals, but I don't like it, when they make a social event of it.

  12. Hunting is popular hobby in Scandinavia and Finland. We have here quite little people and lots of game animals. We have also here in Finland everyman´s right law what gives all the people right to hunt or pick berries and mushrooms almost everywhere regardless who owns the land.

I also think that British royals do quite much hunting in their estates, particularly in Scotland.

    1. No, hunting is not everyman's right, you need licenses. Picking berries, swamps and flowers is...

    1. Really; I think those animals have had more happy life than cows, pigs and chicken at farms. It is not just killing them, game meat is also eaten.

      Delete
    2. So why to shorten those animals happy life as you said ... unnecessarily!

    3. Kristina; so you do not eat meat? I do not hunt but I do understand it.

    4. Did you ever see and if not just imagine it, the deer walking gracefully through the woods looking around with this beautiful huge brown eyes, and to think that any minute that animal can be shot it is really heartbreaking.
Animals should have rights too, they do deserve to live their lives . And as I said above , when there are too many of them somehow nature takes care of it's own.
I know that in every part of the world people hunt and usually they are proud of being hunters. And it is so wrong , absolutely wrong.

    5. Actually just deers and elk are animals which would kill masses of people here in road accidents if they are not hunt as planned (there are just sertain number them what can be hunt in sertain area. Population is kept good but not dangerous). Have you ever seen a dear or elk run to road and have just narrowly escaped an accident? I have several times and am that for happy they are hunt.

    6. And Kristina, this will be really shock to you, here in north reindeer is just livestock like in other world cows, pigs and chicken.

  15. And about that gracefull deer... it is not original animal here. People took it here about 100 years ago to some mansion gardens because it is so cute. It get along too well and is a big problem today in some parts of coutry. Did you know we would be totally out of some dangerous (deathly dangerous tick-borne encephalitis and others) diceases what are spread out by ticks (after growing up in deers) if we had not any deers.

Juts to make you think that things are not so simple you think.
