  2. Nice photos. Love the ones of HM smiling. I wonder whether William and Catherine will continue this tradition of attending the Games? They don't seem to attend on a regular basis.

    1. William and Catherine have a long way to go before that. I am one of the few people here who still remembers George VI, who died in 1952. Charles could reign for 20 or so years before Catherine and William take over.

    2. That's interesting that you remember George VI. Did Elizabeth and Margaret go with him to the games when they were young?

    3. Il n'y avait pas de journaux pour le raconter .

    4. Pine - I was 16 when George VI died. I am European, we had newspapers, even a radio, no telephone, but we did hear things. I remember my sister, who is a year older, telling me that Elizabeth, who was still princess, had a daughter in 1950, and that her name was Anne. At the time, in my country, we were still dealing with our own "royal question" - nothing to do with England. Myriam - Il y avait des journaux, surement, mais pour mon pays, l'Angleterre n'avait pas d'importance, nous avions d'autres chats a fouetter, nous sortir de l'apres-guerre, etc.

  5. It is nice to see Princess Anne included in these photos. She attends many events and does a lot of good work that unfortunately goes unnoticed. Her fashion choices may not always be the latest trends, but she looks very nice and happy in these photos.
