  1. Mette is wearing Zephyr folk dress from Zimmermann. Qute, but would have liked it shorter or floor lenght though. https://us.zimmermannwear.com/swim-and-resort/zephyr-folk-dress-floral.html

  2. She likes the flowy ruffly floral longdresses. There´s nothing wrong with them as such, they even complement her as I see her as a soft, feminine and down-to-earth person. However, she still needs structured outfits, things with shape, things that down look like either a sack or a nightgown. And it wouldn´t hurt to bring out more of the princess in her, which we´ve seen her do successfully many times before, most often in her evening wear. Her daywear is her weak point, and even though she may have been out inofficially here (not in her capacity as the crown princess of her country), it still matters to look somewhat polished, and wearing upmarket or high-end designer labels isn´t enough to ensure that.

  3. I'm generally not a fan of the hippi-boho-little house on the prairie style but I quite like this dress. On MM too. I think she looks pretty in it. It's casual but pretty. The thing is, Venice is still VERY HOT at this time of the year. With the sea all around and under the city, this is a humid, steamy hot, the kind of weather when no matter what you wear it sticks to your body. This is exactly the dress I liked to wear most when I was there in August-September. So I think the dress is both lovely and appropiate.
The woman in the center (I gather she's Sozzani) looks somewhat frightful to me however. Like: look, there is a girlishly long haired girlish blonde girl in her girlish dress! and then you take a second look and you see a lot more 'mature' woman who is trying to look girlish. Full disclosure: I deliberately didn't write 'older' because I want to avoid being accused of 'shaming' someone for her age. What I mean is that this woman isn't groomed appropiately to the point of being frightful. The least, she looks like she comes from the lido with wet hair and in a beach dress, which of course would be appropiate if she did indeed come from the lido - but I seriously doubt that. My point after all this is: appropiate can sometimes be relative :)
