  4. She's full of energy and exploring the world. Her father said in a recent interview that she is a determined little girl. Fortunately for her parents, her little brother is a calm child who is easier to handle. Leonore's energy will serve her well as she gets older.

  5. Perhaps a path in track and field might be a good idea! She is a runner LOL

  7. She is a handful. It is just her personality but mom and dad will have to control that.

If we could catch even part of her energy :)

  9. Elle est très active. Disons que sa maman va se maintenir en forme juste à la poursuivre. La jolie petite princesse est comme les enfants de son âge.

  10. Energetic child, but please don't make a habit of posting short, ever repeating videos on this site as they are quite annoying!

  11. A child being a child, and a willful one at that. I was and still am amazed by how calm and self disciplined Estelle is. She is an absolutely gorgeous child, so cute, however it is as though she knows instinctively what role she was born into, I see that in Prince Christian too, he is a gorgeous child but so different from the adorable Isabella, who has a cheeky streak.

  12. Sue, what is meant by my comment on control is that yes, she is a child but you can see a distinct difference in the way Estelle behaves as opposed to Leonore. Of course each child has a different personality but these are children who are raised in a spotlight and are royalty and are expected to be somewhat composed during official events or they should not participate. On their own private holidays who cares. BUT, I see kids like this everyday where the parents are not taking control of the situation and the child and teaching them how to behave and then the child just takes over

    1. I seem to remember Estelle was also running around when she was Leonore's age. Leonore just had to attend many events at a very young age where she had to be in the spotlight longer (wedding, christenings). Estelle and Leonore have different personalities and as one is older than the other, then its not fair to compare Estelle vs Leonore! Besides Estelle gets totally different upbringing as she's future queen.
And royal or no royal, most kids have untiring energy. Perhaps its wiser to leave them at home in care of nanny so they wouldn't bother others with their running but I like it when parents take their children with them and its so much fun to watch Swedish Royal Family, especially now that there's next generation of princesses and princes. I also enjoy watching Danish Royal Family.

  13. I just noticed Leonore has a binky/pacifier in her mouth in the first shot. That is a pic from this month. Is that normal to allow this at her age? Our pediatric dentist said no more those when my children were her age. Times change of course but seems like that should be gone by now?

And please don't go off on me. Its a legitimate question and not a slant on Mom and Dad. Just a question. My baby is 23 so ....as I said things change.

    1. Pediatric dentists recommend limiting pacifier time once a child is 2 and eliminating it by age 4 to avoid dental problems.
From my own experience I can tell that I got dental problems although I was less that a year old when I gave up on pacifier. My daughter was 2-years-old when she gave up on them and has very beautiful straight teeth. It didn't go so well with my son, who has two crooked teeth (he gave up on pacifier quite early, around 11 month).

  14. Just looking at Chris trying to manage young Leonore, she sure is a handful isn't she. I don't think children are to young to learn a little disapline. No is a good word and children do understand. I feel very sorry for young mothers who are now unable to deal with wilful children in public. Children understand "do that again and I will smack you" oh dear did I hear all the shouting then, but often all it takes is for mum to smack once and the child learns.

Yes, old fashioned I am, but after raising six children, having 23 grandchildren and now one great grandchild, I guess I've learnt a few things. I take my hat off to Madelaine for the composure and restraint she shows, but I do wonder if she wishes her daughter was a tad more like Estelle.

  15. While Leonore behaved better at Prince Alexander's christening, her behavior as compared to Estelle's behavior at the same age is strikingly different. Leonore appears to be much more undisciplined to the extent that Chris O'Neil actually looks embarrassed sometimes. I like that the children are included in these ceremonies, however, they might want to allow Leonore to grow up a little before taking her to more events like this. Of course, with no more babies on the horizon, time will probably take care of this situation.
