Duchess Maria Teresa attended an event of UNESCO

On May 31, 2016, during the UNESCO round table event which deals with global extremism and radicalization, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa met with a young Nigerian woman who escaped after being held captive by Boko Haram militants. The book named "Enlevée par Boko Haram" which tells the story of the young Nigerian woman Aissatou (Aminatou Ahidjo) has been written by the help of Nigerian author Mina Kaci.
