King Felipe and Queen Letizia attend Pascua Militar Day - 2016

King Felipe VI of Spain and Queen Letizia of Spain attended the 'Pascua Militar' ceremony at the Royal Palace on January 6, 2016 in Madrid, Spain. (The day has been celebrated in Spain since 1782 when the Spanish Military won an important battle on the island of Mallorca on the Feast of the Epiphany, and the King, Carlos III, declared that henceforth the military would be honored on his day)

Mary's looks this year have elegant and well fitted. Give credit...
Today Letizia's look is just OK

Mary's navy velour dress was too short both the sleeves and length. This black and white combination surpasses all.

    3. Anon 19:44 Why compare? royalty is not a competition. There is no need to give praise to one royal by running another one down. it just comes across as if the person commenting has some other motive.

Both top and bottom are lovely but not well together the top needs something like a pencil skirt. The bottom very pretty and would look perfect with the right top. What she wore last year was much better.

There's nothing wrong with comparisons and this time the prize goes to Letizia.

Many Letizia fans like to compare always perhaps they feel something missing.

Marie looked far better than Letizia, which was below par no prizes for her.

Compared to Maxima the look for Leti is underwhelming.

Queen Margreth has a navy velour ball gown style dress which in my opinion is more beautiful than Mary's.

What happened to her face? It looks very tight and unnatural. It is not same as before.

    1. I think she looks better than ever. She has rounder cheeks, she looks more healthy :)

Is it me, or does it look strange that the dress/skirt is lined with white material? I would have thought a toning material more appropriate despite the ensemble having a white jacket.

A lacy skirt with a business jacket is not the best styling.

I suspect she had a very subtle filler than made her face rounder as she didn't look like she had gained weight.

  10. She is cold and shallow, not interested in her public, protective of her husband, nice clothes, always expensive, especially costly shoes but no sense of style,
and always very very boring. She looks like she's in the business world, knows her way in front of a camera and likes it there, just like the TV presenter she was. Does she say much or greet people directly or just pose for the cameras?

5:52 even you throw her a bit of praise in there. Her style is all her own and does garner praise from some "fashion bibles". Regardless, she and her husband are doing their best to represent their country.

To americanmum 05:52 : Expensive and costly don't apply to her style at all comparing with other royals such as Mary, Rania, Maxima, etc. Besides, being Queen is a job and nothing is wrong with her being in the business world. I am neither fan of each royal. However, Letizia is smart and knows what she is doing. She is definitely not air-head or barbie-head.

BEAUTIFUL QUEEN OF SPAIN. She is not a carbon copy of Mary and neither is mary a carbon copy of the Queen of Spain. She looks very elegant and well rest after the holiday. The Queen is a style icon.

  14. La belle Reine Letizia est habillée en parfaite conformité au protocole, qu'impose une robe de cour ou une jupe longue pour la Pascua Militar.
L'amour et l'harmonie entre ce couple royale c'est superbe.
