  1. Very beautiful royal family Christmas photos. My only criticism: the first photo has an arrangement on the table behind the family and it ends up looking like it is growing out of adorable Princess Ingrid Alexandra's head.

  2. Wonderful photos!

Interesting Christmas tree decoration with real white roses in little vases. Is this typical for Norway, I wonder.

    1. It is individually what you decorate your Christmas tree with as in the rest of the world, and if you have your own nursery why not use roses. We have seen artificial flowers been used around the world on trees for years. So it's pretty much quite normal I guess. Personally, I use only christmas balls and other ornaments in white, gold and red and a star at the top. The American tradition with an angel on top, we understand little of and not to mention bows...what on earth has a bow to do with a chrismtas tree(my opinion), but some like it guess ;)

    2. I've never seen real roses on a Norwegian Christmas tree. And I've seen many trees. So, not typical.

    3. This is getting pretty normal. Here you have a picture from a norwegian blog called Sunnivas hage from 2011.

And we have seen pictures like these from around the world, so I guess it's more common then you think.

    2. Why do you get the creeps of Ingrid? Just want to know, because i think she is so cute!

With pleasure: I.A. always looks kind of sly, sorry but I'm not a native speaker, I do not have a better word for her expression and I don't think she's cute. I know it's not popular to say "negative" things to kids and I know nearly the whole woman's world says ALL babies are drop dead gorgeous, but for me it's not and I tell MY truth. End of story.

    4. Well, i'm the last one who will say that you may not say negative things about kids, because sometimes i do that myself, but i was just curious to know what you thought about Ingrid because i do not share that opinion with you. But, hey, that's your right!

    5. Ingrid is a shy young 12 year old girl, what you apparently mean is sly is in fact shyness. How you can find out that a little girl is sly, is beyond me. Think the truth is that you have a negative feeling for this family.

Thank you, I agree with you, if you don´t mind.

    7. I can imagine the following. Sorry about my English ..is it the feeling "her (Alex) eyes fix the viewer" and "say" "doing justice to the little ones" as meeting childrens needs ? Something like that?

Nope! The other way around! I DO like the Norwegian and Swedish Royal families best. I think Haakon is a nice guy and I "love" Victoria.

@Anonymous20:50, thank you..I think it's something like that, her eyes, no smile..maybe she already questions all the events in the royal circus and is simply utterly bored. However Merry Xmas to all of you, the tolerant and the less ones..;-)

    9. Anon 00:37 and 13:36: At first I thought you were making a joke about the Xmas decoration appearing to be on the top of Ingid A’s head – implying that she was some kind of evil Snow Queen - which I thought was quite clever and amusing. I felt quite sure you were just pretending to feel disturbed, and I had no problem with your comment.
So I was pretty shocked to find out you were serious.
Where I come from, to say that someone "gives you the creeps" is very strong language indeed. It is the way one would describe being in the presence of a sexual predator.
To imply that there is something evil in a child – in my view that remark is intolerant - made about one whose only “sin” is to be a quiet and reserved introvert. Personally, I find her facial expression sweet and appealing.
I guess you haven’t had much to do with children; but I do urge you to show more tolerance towards different personalities. Children are not all the same, and introverts are people too :).

I don´t know what it is but Mette-Marit looks much lovelier and less hard at her facial expression. I like it. She looks very good.
