Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Västergötland, was born on 14 July 1977 at the Karolinska Hospital in Stockholm.

In accordance with the 1979 Act of Succession, which entered into force on 1 January 1980, Crown Princess Victoria is heir to the Swedish throne.

Tuesday 24 February 2009, The Crown Princess and Mr Daniel Westling announced their engagement at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The wedding took place on 19 June 2010 in Storkyrkan in Stockholm.

On 23 February 2012 Princess Estelle was born.

As every year, the Crown Princess invites the Swedish people to celebrate her birthday while she and her family are on holiday at Solliden Slott on Öland, a Swedish island.

THE PROGRAMME

10.45am: The Swedish press gathers at Solliden Castle and for those who want to see the Crown Princess it’s time to arrive.

2 pm: Crown Princess Victoria, accompanied by Prince Daniel, daughter Estelle and her parents King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia, will greet the Swedish people. As each year, they’ll sing a birthday song and the King will give a little speech followed by 3 cheers. Then the Crown Princess will shake hand with the people.

5 pm: The entrance of Borgholms IP opens for the public. Here, the Victoriadagen concert will be held.

6.30 pm: The Swedish Royal Family arrives at Borgholms IP for the Victoriadagen concert. This year’s artists are Kristin Amparo, Sven Bertil Taube, Mariette, Medina, Ola Salo, Carola Häggkvist, and John Lundvik.The celebration at Borgholms IP will be hosted by Mark Levengood and conductor Johan Landqvist. During the celebration at Borgholms IP, The Crown Princess will present this year’s Victoria Scholarship to the swimmer Sarah Sjöström.

In attendance: King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip, Princess Sofia, Princess Madeleine, Chris O’Neill, Princess Estelle will join them as well.
