The King and Queen of Jordan are on a state visit to France

King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan traveled on Wednesday to Paris, where he will hold talks with French President Francois Hollande on regional crises, especially the progress of the jihadist group Islamic State (IS) in Syria and Iraq.

A statement from the Jordanian Royal Household said Abdullah II will also meet in Paris with other French officials and with economic, religious and cultural figures.
The monarch, who is accompanied by Queen Rania, will travel at the end of his visit to New York, where he will attend the UN General Assembly.
Jordan has given its support to the international coalition set up to combat the IS and is considering several “options” on what assistance to offer, the king said on Tuesday.
King Abdullah II has expressed interest in cutting off the funding sources of the extremists and in the protection of Arab Christians.
